House, late C17th, altered. Sandstone rubble with tile roof. 2 storeys.
Earliest part, of 3 bays, has windows with rebated and chamfered
surrounds. Those to the left-hand bay have plain stone lintels. Those to
the middle bay were originally of 2 lights: those to the right-hand bay
were of 3. Between bays one and 2 and between bays 2 and 3 are doors with
plain reveals. At the left is an addition of one bay, said to have been a
stable. It has windows with plain reveals and a door at the left with
plain reveals. Chimneys to right and left of original house and to right
of its left-hand bay. Inside, the middle room of the original house has
exposed ceiling joists, 2 chamfered main ceiling joists, and a firehood
bressumer with a mortise for a heck post. The present shouldered fireplace
is of C18th type.
