House, original use uncertain. Mid and late C18th. Slobbered sandstone
rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys. Facade in 2 halves with chimney
between and one chimney centrally in each half. Straight joint and quoins
suggest that left-hand half is earlier, having windows of mid C18th type
with shallow chamfer and chamfered mullions, 2 to each storey: one to
ground floor of 3 lights, the rest of 2. Left-hand half has 2 doorways
with cyma mouldings, one now blocked to form a window at the left end of
the facade. Later part, to right, of 3 bays with chamfered doorway at
left and 2-light windows with square mullions. Door enters hallway with
flight of plain stone steps with iron handrail.
