3/39 Nos. 11, 13 and 15
17.12.1968
- II
Block of 6 back-to-back cottages, now 2 shops and one cottage. C18,
altered. Coursed sandstone, slate roof. Double depth, each one bay. Two
storeys; vertical joint between No.13 and No.ll to the right (which is
probably an early addition); Nos. 13 and 15 have doorways offset to the
right, with plain surrounds and primitive slab "pediments" of steep pitch,
shop windows at ground floor; No.11 has doorway to left, large altered
rectangular window at ground floor; all have 2 square windows at 1st floor
all with altered glazing except that on the left of No.13 which has a flush
mullion and 2 narrow sashed lights. Gable chimneys and 2 ridge chimneys.
Rear: No.ll is slightly canted; each has a large 2-light flush mullion
window at ground floor, 2 square windows above (altered); each has a door,
that at No.13 with a "pediment" like those at the front. Interior: some
chamfered beams; otherwise, altered.
