House and barn, early C18. Slobbered rubble with corrugated iron roof over
thatch. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Windows modern with plain reveals. Door, at
left, has plain reveals. Left-hand gable chimney, with brick cap. Barn, at
right, has front wall partly covered by a later lean-to. To the right is a
wide entrance with plain reveals and timber lintel. At the left, now
within the lean-to, is a door with plain reveals. Inside, the left-hand
room has 2 chamfered main ceiling joists, exposed common joists, and a
floor of sandstone flags. 2 adjacent original doors with raised and
fielded panels lead to the 2 right-hand rooms. The barn has a single truss
with high collar, and one queen strut of a pair remaining.
