6/182 Old Dovecote

GV II

House, formerly stables and dovehouse. C18/converted C20. Coursed rubble
stone with quoins and stone dressings and Collyweston slate roof with
stone side stack. Main front to rear facing school. l½ storeys. Symmetrical
composition of small central pyramid roof block and 2 small side wings
with moulded stone pediments linked to central block by sections containing
a C20 window with 2-light dormer over. Each wing has a round-arched window
and the central block a Venetian window with, above, 2 2-light casements
and a blank central window frame. Lead and wooden square louvre on roof.
Entrance has door within C20 columned porch, 2-light casements, and 2
2-light dormers.
