Milestone. Early C19. Stone, possibly slate, painted white, the lettering painted
black. Rectangle c1m high with cambered top and slightly convex front. Inscribed
'Leicester 7 : Uppingham 12'. Chip off left corner. Stands close to driveway
to 'Woodlands'. Similar to 2 further milestones on Uppingham Road in Houghton
and Thurnby parishes (q.v.).
