Former Marquis of Granby Public House
(Formerly listed as: The Marquis Granby Public House (No. 1))
Public house when surveyed. Early C19 with older origins, altered C20. Coursed squared
limestone, glazed pantile roof, brick end and ridge stacks. 3-unit plan.
2-storey, 4-window range; 6-panel, double-leaf doors to left of centre with
segmental-arched head. Porch with canted sides to far right with 6-panel
door, and canted bay windows to far left and to right of centre, all with
segmental-arched head; 2-light casement to 1st floor left of centre with
similar head and 2-light casements to 1st floor right of centre with stone
lintels and key blocks. Quoins and stone-coped gable to right only.
Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams.
