25/91 Low Kinmont farmhouse

Farmhouse. Probably early C18; 1765 date, with initials I. & E.H., on ogee panel between floors, refers to single-bay addition. Later additions and alterations. Pebble-dashed rubble. Graduated slate roof with outshut to rear; stone ridge and rendered chimneys. 2 storeys. Original house 3 bays: Central panelled door has 2-light, stone-mullioned casement to left with sash to right and 2 above; stone surrounds. Bay added to left has sash in stone surround to each floor with datestone between. Further 2-bay extension set back on left: Plank door with sash to left on each floor, and casement above. Barn range adjoining to right not of interest.
