Includes No. 51 Hope St. Terrace of 7 houses. 1830s. Stucco
with hipped slate roof. 3 storeys with basement, 3 bays to
each house, end 2 bays form return of No.51 Hope St.
Basement lintel band; ground floor has channelled
rustication; 1st and 2nd floor sill bands; top entablature
and blocking course. Ground floor windows have entablatures
and panelled aprons and are sashed, no glazing bars; 1st
floor windows have casements, 2nd floor windows are sashed
with glazing bars. Entrances have architraves, friezes and
consoled cornices. Complete overlights and half-glazed
doors. Railings to areas and steps have spear heads. No.51
Hope Street is of 7 bays; the end 2 bays project, of 2
storeys only.
