13/25, 12/25 The Manor House
GV II
House. Late C17. Coursed squared ironstone, plain tile roofs, stone ridge and
end stacks, that to ridge with brick flues. L-plan. 2 storeys and attic;
3-window range. Principal front to street has small central 2-light casement
window with timber lintel flanked by canted bay windows with 12-pane sashes to
front, 8 panes to sides, and a 2-light casement to far left. Lower
one-storey-and-attic outhouse to left end. Brick nogged eaves, quoins and stone
coped gables with kneelers. This range has a shallow concave curve. Entrance to
rear by wing which projects to rear left. Hipped dormer to rear and various 2-
and 3-light casement windows. Interior has stone flagged floors,
ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams, open fireplace with chamfered bressumer and C18
fitted cupboard in dining room with shaped shelves.
