Circa 1880 tall 4 storey works on corner with Brook Street. Brook Street. Bright
red brick with engineering brick and stucco dressings. Narrow window bays, 6 to square
articulated through upper storeys by thin brick pilasters with roll moulded
edges and foliate stucco capitals flanking top floor window heads. Brick
dentil cornice and painted parapet. On the long return to Brook Street the
pilasters are wider spaced dividing the window bays in pairs. Engineering
brick arches with stucco keys and segmental stucco strings to heads, continuously
linked on ground floor and to pairs on first and second floors of return.
Modern "Georgian" doorway inserted facing the square. Important corner site.
