Earlier C18 front to C16 timber framed structure. Red brick, old tiled roofs.
2 storeys and attic with attic window set in round headed wall. Rainwater head
dated 1736, with initials S above W S (as on house range Nos 33-9, dated 1728).
lst floor has 3 C19 sash windows, segmental arches. Mid C19 double fronted shop
with tall wooden mullions to elliptically arched lights, reeded surround to central
door up steps. Modern fascia. Timber framed back elevation partly refaced in
whitewashed brick, partly weatherboarded. Original C16 chimney stack with tall
diagonally set shafts. Interiors: said to contain C16 panelling. VCH, II, p
215.

Nos 57 and 83 (odd) and No 63A and 79A form a group.
