SO 33 SW LONGTOWN CP -

3/71 Barn approximately 40m
south-west of Wain Farmhouse

GV II

Barn. C17 with minor later additions. Timber-framed with sandstone rubble
plinth and corrugated metal roof, some weatherboard cladding remaining.
Four bays aligned east/west with byre at lower (east) end and threshing
floor entrance with later projecting porch to west of centre on north front,
three square-headed wooden framed doorways to east gable end, central doorway
now blocked. Framing: two and four square panels from sill to wall-plate,
inclined strut trusses.
