Farmhouse. Early C17 front, mid to late C19 rear. Close-studded timber-framing, some wattle and daub infill, some brick nogging, to front: Sussex bond brickwork to rear; tiled roof. Three bay front, 2 rooms deep, 2 storeys. Front: framing 2 panels high per floor. Central, gabled single storey porch, painted brickwork, semi-circular head to opening, chamfered arris: slit windows in sides, over 4-panel front door, bottom flush, heavy fielding to top. On left C19 two-light casement in original opening, chamfer to head, brick infill below window. To right window removed at time of survey (1985): cambered brick arch over. Framing replaced by brickwork to right and above up to eaves, corner post survives. First floor three 2-light casements with small panes. 'M' roof. Gable returns to front timber framed; rendered external chimney breast centre of each, brick top. Some render still covering framing on right gable at time of survey. Left rear gable, scattered C20 windows in earlier openings, cambered brick arches: right rear gable one 2-light casement per floor, cambered brick arch. Central chimney on ridge to rear half. Interior not inspected. C19 brickwork to rear may be refacing or partial rebuilding of earlier work: front half was rendered over at some later stage, render largely removed at time of survey. Front roof appears to have had new purlins in mid to late C19.
