5/109 Nash monument, in the churchyard,
about 15m south of south-east
corner of south transept, Church
of St. Mary

GV II

Chest tomb. Profet Nash, died 1783. Stone. Flat lid, moulded
edge, quarter-square fluted pilasters to corners, plain ends,
fielded panels with scalloped corners to sides. Moulded base.
Also commemorates his wife. In early C19 farmers paid their men on
this tomb after church on Sunday mornings.
