GV II

House; probably early C18, may contain earlier work; altered
early C20. Roughcast over plain plinth, brick right return;
tiled roof. Five windows wide, L-plan, 2 storeys and attics. on
left double boarded doors to carriageway, cambered head. 3-light
mullion and transom window, early C20, flat head. Six-fielded
panel door up 1 stone step, 4-pane rectangular fanlight, flat,
cantilevered porch with moulded edge. Three-light and 2-light
windows, otherwise similar; boarded door, flat head, up 1 stone
step. First floor two 2-light windows as ground floor over
carriageway. Three equally-spaced 2-light casement windows to
right. Three-light casement window in gabled dormer on left, and
over main door: between brick chimney forward of ridge: further
brick chimney to rear on right: roof hipped at right end. Right
return brick, with timber main post trapped part-way back.
