Stone classical office building 4-5 storeys in height, 3 bays wide. Circa 1900
by J Macvicar Anderson has 3-bay return to forecourt of No 40; rusticated ground
storey with round arched windows and doorway, with keystones carved with masks,
architraved windows to upper storeys, those to 1st storey pedimented, main cornice above 2nd storey, double attic and mansard above. Single storey wing fronting onto Adams Court at rear.
