1700-1730, altered symmetrical 2½ storeys. Stuccoed front. Central pedimented
doorcase with fanlight between modern show windows. Five first floor windows,
with modern sashes. Steep tiled roof. Three dormers. Sides and back brick and
flint. Tablet on the front records visits to the Roe family of Dickens, Millais,
Holman Hunt, Wilkie Collins and others. Listed despite unsympathetic alterations,
partly for group value.
