Late C16 house with 2 storeys and attics, and a main east front of 4 unequal
bays. Probably a lobby-entry type with a bay added to the north. Entrance
now between the 2 south bays. All windows sashes with one fixed in upper
north bay. C18 door with eared architrave, pulvinated moulding and box cornice
to shallow hood. Rendered walls, old tile roof, massive brick stack with
6 diamond flues, and moulded brick base and capping. Stair turret on west
elevation with blocked diamond mullioned window visible in the attic. Rear
wing at south with good late C18 interior fittings in the old kitchen. C19
extension housing the door between 2 rear wings. Very fine carved bressumer
to north fireplace of main stack, with elongated palmettes between large rosettes.
