Farmhouse. C17, rebuilt late C18 to early C19, restored mid-C20.
Timber-frame with rendered infill and tile roof and brick with hipped
slate roof. T-plan, C19 cross-wing aligned east/west, rear wing to
north incorporating C17 frame. Integral gable-end stacks to cross-wing.
South front of three storeys with boarded eaves. Three windows, two 3-
light casements flanking a 2-light casement, all under segmental heads.
Central entrance has a moulded wooden architrave, a flat stone canopy
on wrought iron brackets and a 4-panel door, the upper two panels glazed.
Rear wing has a gabled timber-frame portion, two square panels high to the
first floor. The gable has two collars, multiple struts, with V-struts
in the apex and trenched purlins. (RCHM, 3, p 174, no 17).
