5 metres north of
north vestry of
Church of St Michael

GV II

Chest tomb. Early C19. Ashlar. Stepped plinth, on top of which is the
chest supported by four pairs of claw feet. The chest has a moulded cornice
and a shallow ridged and hipped capping. East and west faces are garlanded
around the illegible inscriptions. South face inscribed: "SACRED/ to the
Memory of/ WILLIAM LUGGAR/ who died Nover 24th 1844/ Aged 66". On north face:
"SACRED/ to the Memory of/ ELIZABETH Wife of/ William Luggar Junr/ who died
July 30 1830/ Aged 43".
