House. Early C17 with C18, C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Sandstone rubble,
brick and timber-frame with brick nogging. Tiled roofs and sandstone rubble
side stack with brick shafts. L-plan with wings to west-north-west and north-
north-west. Two storeys and attics. Garden front to east has 1:1:1:1:1 windows,
mid-C20 steel casements of two and three lights. Projecting gables to left and
right of centre have 3-light casements and close-studded timber-framing above
ground storey. Behind these gables are more steeply pitched larger gables
with widely spaced framing and curved struts above collars. Central entry
beneath projection has two-leaved mid-C20 door with transom light. North
elevation has two large sandstone side stacks. Entry in angle has four ex
situ corbel-heads in parapet of porch. West gable has two similar corbel-
heads probably recovered from the demolished Wormsley Priory, the site of
which is nearby. Interior (access refused). (BoE, p 207; RCHM, Vol III,
