Rochford Mount and The Mount

(Formerly listed as Rochford Mount, B 4202)

House. C18, with mid-C19 and late C20 alterations and additions. Finely
jointed handmade brick and plain tiled roof which has gable-end parapets
with kneelers and ridge end stacks. Two storeys, cellar and attic with
dormers; dentilled eaves cornice. Three bays. The main storeys have wedge
lintels and are all 12-pane sashes. There are three C20 fiat-roofed dormers
with 2-light casements. Central entrance has a timber trellised porch with a
curved lead canopy and round-headed archway with trefoils pierced in the
spandrels. The doorway has flanking fluted pilasters and a six-panelled door.
Attic lights at gable ends. Large original wing to rear right.
