Row of three houses. C17, altered mid-C19 and late C20. Timber-framed
with rendered infill on rubble base, refaced with painted rubble. Slate
roof with rubble ridge stack and two diagonal rubble shafts. Five bays
aligned east/west including chimney bay (second from east end) forming
probably lobby entrance to No 1. Two storeys. Framing: visible at east
end and rear. Two and,three rows of panels from sill to original wall-
plate with short straight upper corner braces plus one additional row of
panels (added when roof was heightened) with similar corner braces.
South front elevation: No 1 has a ground floor replacement 3-light casement
with a concrete lintel. No 2 and 3 have 3-light ground floor casements with
cambered heads. Five first floor 2-light casements with cambered heads.
No 1 has a C20 lean-to brick porch with a 2-light casement to the south
and the main entrance in the right angler. Nos 2 and 3 have gabled canopies
on straight brackets and ledged and battened doors. (RCHM, III, p 53, item 7).
