SO 66 SE LOWER SAPEY -

1/49 Barn about 70 metres north
east of Burton Court

GV II

Barn. Second half of C18. Timber-frame on rubble plinth, weather boarded
with corrugated iron roof. 3 structural bays with square panelled wall
framing. Intermediate trusses: sawn-off tie-beams tenon into posts which
rise from first floor joist (where they are secured with iron bolts) to
purlins, principal rafters extend only as far as purlin, with common
rafters rising to apex. Gable trusses have collar and queen struts.
