1/53 Cowhouse about 20 metres south
of Church House Farmhouse

Cowhouse. C17 with C19 alterations. Coursed rubble with plain tile roof.
2 storeys, chamfered plinth; 2 doors, open to extreme left corner, other near
right corner. Right gable end has at ground floor level a wooden window frame
with ovolo moulded mullions; above in the gable are openings for a pigeon loft
with alighting ledges, through which a C19 window has been cut. The left
gable wall has segmental headed openings of C19 brick. Interior: 2 bays
divided by a timber-framed partition with brick infill; chamfered and stopped
ceiling beams.
