Said to have been a theatre converted in 1754 to 2 houses by T Wrightson.
2 storeys in red brick with pantile roof. 1 gabled dormer. 5 windows
wide (originally 6 but those of no 90 were re-arranged in the early C19).
Hung sashes with glazing bars, rendered lintels to ground floor. Painted
stone cill string to ground floor windows. 2 wood doorcases of circa 1780
with shouldered architraves, chambranles friezes and cornices. Moulded
brick eaves cornice. No 90 has a mid C18 staircase: closed string, columnar
newels, slender turned balusters, moulded handrail. First floor rooms
have contemporary chimney pieces with simply moulded surrounds. Front
room has moulded chair rail. Doors, some with fielded, some with sunk
panels.
