Including No. 222 Ramsden Road. 3 houses, No. 4 now a shop.
c.1800. Watershot stone which has been painted and stone
slate and C20 tile roof. A rectangular block of 3 storeys
with 2 doors on Wardle Fold and one on Ramsden Road.
Ramsden Road elevation has a later window opening to the
ground floor, a door to the right with square-cut monolithic
jambs and lintel, a blocked taking-in door at first floor
and 5-light flat-faced mullion windows to first and second
floors (each with 2 mullions removed.) Wardle Fold
elevation has 2 doors; 4 windows on the ground floor 2 of
which are later insertions and 2 which no longer retain any
mullions; 7-light windows to each house on the first floor
(each with 2 mullions removed and 2 lights blocked) and a 9-
light and 5-light window to the second floor (with 4 and 2
mullions removed respectively). The roof is hipped with
one brick ridge stack. Included for group value.
