2. A corner building forming one property with No 16 Mercery Lane (qv). A C15 building refaced in the early C19. 3 storeys painted brick. 1 dormer. Rainwater head. 3 windows facing north east. Extension has 1 3-light sash on first floor. Modern shopfront.

Nos 38 to 44 (consec) and Nos 1 to 9 (consec) Butchery Lane together with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and Nos 10 to16 Mercery Lane form a group.
