TQ 75 NE BOXLEY CHATHAM ROAD

5/63 Tyland Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. Late C16 or early C17. Timber framed, rendered with
plain tile roof. Right angles to road. 2 storeys and attic on
plinth. Roof a few inches lower to left of stack. Ridge stack
off-centre to left, set at right angles to roof with fillet to
farmyard and arched panel in longer side. Late C19 projecting
stacks, at left end and to rear at right end. Plain dormer
to right of stack. Irregular fenestration of 2 sashes, one at
left end and one to right of stack with sashes under on ground
floor. 2 doors under bracketted flat hoods, that immediately
to left of stack ribbed, and that to right of right window panelled.
Single storey rear lean-to of painted brick with slate roof
extending to within a few feet of right end.
