Possible house, now Public House. C16 and C17. Close-studded
timber framing with plaster infilling and plain tile roof, at
right angles to road. C16 open hall with C17 cross-wing to left?
Right section: 1½ storeys approx. 2 timber-framed bays, roof
hipped to right. Gabled eaves dormer towards left end, C20
bay window under it with pentice roof. C20 ribbed door at left
end. Left cross-wing: 2 storeys and attic on stone plinth. Jettied
to front and along left side elevation (to road) with dragon
post with moulded capital. Gable has plain bargeboards and
central pendant. Other end of roof hipped. Projecting stack
on left side towards front of building, with stone base and
tumbled brickwork towards top. 3-light leaded casement to attic,
first-floor oriel on brackets, probably C20 and C20 bay window
on ground floor. Interior: has moulded crown post towards right
end.
