NY 10 SW IRTON WITH SANTON

14/40 Hall Santon farmhouse

G.V. II

Farmhouse, probably mid/late C18, with wings added c1830 (date on north wing's
rear door lintel). Original farmhouse incised stucco with rusticated quoins,
wings wet-dashed with corner pilasters. Graduated slate roof with stone ridge
and corniced stone chimneys. 2 storeys, 5 bays (1:3:1). Central glazed door
with sash to either side on each floor (16-pane to ground floor); right-hand
wing has glazed door with sash and small C20 casement above, left-hand wing has
C20 casement with sash above. All openings in stone surrounds. Listed
primarily for group value.
