2 houses. Dated 1862. Roughcast stone with slate roofs. 3 storeys, 3 bays,
but 1st bay of 2 storeys; lean-to outshut to right return. Windows have label
moulds to roughcast lintels and 2-light casements, one of 3 lights to 3rd bay of
ground floor, with iron glazing bars in octagon and square pattern common to the
Holker estate; gablets to top floor windows have decorative bargeboards and
finials. Entrance between 2nd and 3rd bays has overlight, boarded door and open
timber gabled porch. Outshut has decorative bargeboards and casement window, no
label. 3 gable-end stacks. Right return has 2 gabled half dormers with
decorative bargeboards, casements as above. Rear of 3 bays, 1st 2 bays of
2 storeys similar to front, with central entrance, no labels to windows; 3rd bay
of one storey with outshut under catslide roof, no windows.
