Hoathwaite Farmhouse

GV II

House, now outbuilding. Early C17 with later addition. Stone rubble with slate
roof. L-plan, one storey with attic. South wing has 2 windows, one partially
blocked, and central entrance. East elevation has 2 entrances and pitching
hole. Interior has 2 upper cruck trusses. Blocked fire window and 3 wooden
chamfered-mullioned windows with intermediate bars, also blocked. Stair with
oak treads. lst floor has wide floor boards and stud and plaster partitions.
Property of the National Trust who have compiled survey report.
