II
Detached farmhouse. Mid C19. Roughcast rendered; Welsh slate
roof. Two-storey with attic; double pile plan. Front: 2
parapet gables with linking parapets. Three-window fenestration
except for 2-light mullioned casement to each gable. Mullioned
and transomed ground floor casements; cross windows to upper
floor, all with hoodmoulds. Central parapet gabled porch with
square opening and hoodmould. Ends: 2 gables to each end with
gable-mounted chimneys, also rendered. Single-storey outbuilding
to both ends. Rear: 3-window fenestration; no gables. Interior
not inspected. Attached farm buildings are not of special
interest. A very tall design in Cotswold style, standing
prominently on the flat upland landscape.
