11/33 Yew Tree Farmhouse
GV II
Former farmhouse, now house. C17, minor alterations C19, altered
mid C20. Stone plinth, timber-framed with rendered or painted,
brick-nogged infill, tiled roof. 'L'- plan, 2-bay wing on left,
single bay at right-angles, 2½ storeys. Windows all late C20
casement. Left gable facing road: framing 2 panels high per
floor. In centre pair French doors, 2-light window to right: 2-
light window first floor, angle braces main posts to tie-beam, 2
collars with studs below, 'V' struts above, 2-light window between
collars. Set back on right, wall same height but framing 3 panels
high to eaves: 2-light casement, door under cantilevered, open
timber porch: angle brace main post to wallplate on right.
Chimney on ridge of right wing at junction to main block. Forms
group with barn and Apperley House (q.v.).
