Windrush House
SP 1620 SE 3/43 25.8.60

Dated 1827, but probably alterations to a C18 house; the features are suited to that
date. Rubble faced in roughcast, half hipped Cotswold stone roof with coped verges.
Two storeys, 3 windows, 3 light leaded lattice casements in elliptical heads; the
outer lst floor ones have tympana giving a kind of Venetian effect. All the windows
are well in from the end walls, those rooms being lit in the gable walls. Panelled
door with rustic porch. Projecting outhouse wings at either end. Left-hand gable
return has C20 porch and door; keystone of blocked earlier door dated 1827.
