Public house. Mid to late C17, altered and extended in C19 and C20.
Timber frame, plastered. Tiled roofs. 3 cell front range with a cross
roofed bay to rear right. 2 storeys. Ground floor: recessed entrance to
right of centre with fielded panelled door under a later broad hood,
3:2:2:4 light small pane slightly recessed casements. First floor 2:3:3
lights. Large stack just behind ridge between centre and right bays is
C17 red brick with rebuilt capping. Hip to right end with slightly
taller bay behind. Angle buttresses added at right corner and on right
return. Right end 3 light casements. Left end of main range has an added
external stack in a low hipped outshut, formerly stabling, with double
doors to front, extending well back with a slate roof. C19 additions to
rear. C20 flat roofed addition to rear right not of special interest.
