Small lodge to Barnsley Park. Probably c1810, by John Nash.
Coursed and dressed stone with flush quoins on plinth, polygonal
slate roof with octagonal central stone stack. Small octagonal
block of 2 storeys with plat band halfway up. Ground floor has 3
triple sashes with cambered stone heads of 4/8/4 panes, with
additional blind window in similar opening towards rear. First
floor has 2 Diocletian and 2 smaller triple sashes (3/6/3 panes)
alternating. Entrance to rear in small porch, larqe C20 extension
to rear. Small curved loggia to left of house linking it with pair
of gatepiers, with 3 wooden unfluted columns anti carved wooden
entablature.
