11/65 Rose Cottage

GV II

Detached house. C17. Limestone rubble with dressed stone
quoins; concrete tile roof; ashlar stack now partly repaired in
brick and brick stack. Long rectangular plan. 1 1/2 storeys.
Entrance front: 3-light wooden ovolo-moulded window with hood to
the right of a projecting C20 gabled porch; blocked window with
large dressed stone jambs to the left of the porch. C20 glazed
door with glazing bars far right; C19 raking eaves dormer to the
first floor. North-west front: 4-light ovolo-moulded casement
with wooden mullions; blocked window with large dressed stone
jambs and a timber lintel to the right. C19 two-light casement
far left. Three-light ovolo-moulded casement to almost central
gablet. Two and 3-light double-chamfered stone-mullioned
casements to the gable end facing the road. Interior not
inspected.
