ST 69 NE BERKELEY CHURCH LANE (Inset, Section E) (south side)

10/105 Pair of Pick Monuments, about 6m south east of Ghosley Monument in churchyard of Church of St. Mary the Virgin. GV II

2 chest tombs, Daniel Pick died 1775 (to south), ------- Pick died 1799 (to north). Limestone. Flat tops, moulded plinth and capping on narrow bases. To south: Gadrooned quarter balusters, ends with cartouche, and cherub head with wings to west. Sides have large rectangular fielded panels with eared corners with rosettes to south. Leaning to south west at time of survey (Nov. 1984) and base breaking up. To north: Indented corners. Ends have plain frieze with urn and palm relief to west and plain shield to east. Sides have fielded rectangular panels with fluted quadrant corners.
