12/86 Methodist Church

II

Methodist church. 1810; mid C19 school room. Stucco; coursed
limestone rubble; Welsh slate roofs. Two-storey church with
single-storey school room to west; minister's room to east.
Front: 3-window fenestration, 16-pane sashes to ground floor, 12-
pane above, all with moulded architraves. Central round-arched
doorway with moulded architraves and impost blocks; plank doors
with simple fanlight over. Attenuated Tuscan corner pilasters,
repeated on side walls. Hipped roof. Two-light mullioned
casements to school room to left; 16-pane sash to minister's room
with 4-panel door and rectangular light over to right. Rear: tall
18-pane sashes set at high level.
Interior: simple with balcony at south end. Plain glazed stair
lobby.
