Former toll house, now small detached house. 1825. Coursed rubble
limestone; ashlar dressings; ashlar chimney; Welsh slate roof.
Gothick. Two-storey; small single-storey addition to north. East
front: octagonal elevation to road has single 2-light mullioned
casement with Tudor arched heads and hoodmould to each floor in
canted facets. Central Tudor arched doorway with plank door and
hoodmould. Tudor arched recess above doorway with hoodmould and
C20 restored panel with toll charges. Hipped roof with projecting
eaves. North side: eaves-mounted chimney with chamfered cap and
ramped base. Small lean-to addition has plank door with casement
to right. Interior not inspected. Early C20 photograph shows
building in use as shop with proprietor's name in panel above
doorway.
