One altar and two chest tombs.
(a) Altar tomb, furthest in group from tower. To William Dobbins, Maltster,
1765. Limestone. Flat top to cavetto mould edge; egg and dart mould east and
west over 2 cherubs and palm fronds to east and skull with bones, west. Both
end panels over gadrooned base. South side has central section brought forward,
with vertical panels; north similar. All rather worn. Cyma base. Not legible,
information from 1879 survey.
(b) Chest tomb, c.2 m east of preceding. To Daniel Shatford, 1746. Lime-
stone. Thick top to cyma edge, good scrolled lyre ends; south has raised panel
flanked by rococo scrolls. Some lettering, but not legible; north similar, very
worn. Broad cyma base. The design could be a little earlier, but the informa-
tion is from the 1879 survey.
(c) Chest tomb, c.3 m south of the last. To John Sparry, Clothier, 1745.
Limestone. Flat top to cyma edge, rococo scrolled lyre ends, north and south
have sunk panels with scrolls, some lettering, but not legible. Ovolo mould
base. Information from 1879 survey.
