20/136 Nupend Cottage

II

Detached house. Late C17, altered early C19. Random rubble
limestone; ashlar chimneys; stone slate roof. Two-storey; 3-
storey rear wing. Front: 5-window fenestration, irregularly
spaced. All timber casements with Gothick glazing bars; flat
stone arches. Off-centre doorway with 6-panel door and decorative
Regency porch with tent hood. Plain eaves level band. Two ridge-
mounted chimneys with moulded caps. Taller rear wing increased in
height in early C19. C20 flat-roofed addition to east end is not
of special interest. Interior not inspected.
