Two attached houses, boundary wall and gateway. Mid-late C17; early Cl9 additions for Edward Hogg. Ashlar and random rubble limestone; ashlar chimneys; Welsh slate and concrete tile roof. Two-storey with attic. Large Tudor style cross-wing at north end now forms Long Court; two lower attached wings on west side linked by boundary wall. North end: 3-window front to cross wing with Tudor-headed mullioned casements, outer 3-light, central 2-light, all with hoodmoulds. Central Tudor arched doorway with hoodmould, 6-panel door having Tudor glazing bars to fanlight. Moulded cornice to plain parapet. Small flat-roofed dormer with leaded casement. Similar 2-light casement and Tudor arched doorway to small service wing to right. East side: 2-window fenestration as to front, left ground floor 3-light reset in C20 canted bay window addition, 2 matching single-light side windows. Cornice and parapet to hipped roof; central eaves-mounted chimney with swept base and moulded cap. Range continuing to left is C17 farmhouse, no fenestration on this side except small eaves-level gabled dormer with leaded iron Tudor casements. Small attached garden house with ogee-headed doorway and small ogee light. Garden wall with circular cut-out top links with stable and cartshed to south east (q.v.). West side: parapet gable end to north wing, off-centre tall pointed window with hoodmould and Y-tracery; small central 2- light pointed attic casement above. Low gable-mounted chimney with moulded cap. Lower farmhouse ranges runs to right, central lobby entry doorway with 6-panel door and 3-light flanking ground floor mullioned casements, left enlarged in C19. Gabled eaves- mounted dormer. Parapet gabled end to single-storey with attic C19 addition projects forward to right, 4-pane sash on south side with gabled dormer above. South end: single-window fenestration, C20 ground floor casement, 2-light to each floor above. Boundary wall links 2 service wings on west side, continuing to north with Tudor arched doorway having lintel inscribed 'LONG COURT'. Gateway beyond has Tudor panelled piers and railed gateway, convex flanking walls terminated by smaller square piers. Interiors not inspected. (N.M. Herbert, 'Randwick' in V.C.H.
