II
Small house. C17 or early C18. Brick-nogged timber framing, stone
plinth, thatched roof. One or 2 bays, one room deep, 1 1/2 storeys.
Gable towards road: left return framing 2 panels high, thin rail
in upper panel at floor level. Angle-brace corner posts to wall
plate: single-pane window cuts one rail; 2 beam ends project by
studs. Four-light casement in swept dormer: half-hip roof. Gable
to road timber-framed, large brick external chimney with tiled
offset, lean-to brick extension on left, for cupboard or oven.
Lean-to extension at opposite end of house not of special interest.
Interior not inspected.
