SO 9527 BISHOP'S CLEEVE CHURCH ROAD

16/101 No 20 (Laburnum)

House. Mid C17. Square-panelled timber framing, now largely
rendered but a small area remains exposed at the rear which is now
partly rebuilt or clad in brick; red tile roof, formerly thatched;
brick stacks. Rectangular plan. 1½ storeys. Three C19 two-light
wooden casements to the ground floor. Three tall eaves dormers
with glazed sides. All windows with horizontal glazing bars.
Central C19 four-panelled door within a heavy pegged frame; slight
projection in wall to the right of the door suggests position of
possible bread oven. Gable-end and axial stack.
Interior: intersecting beams with deep flat chamfers.
