Dated 1865. A large stone drinking fountain about 15 ft high on 3 stone steps.
Square-shaped fountain on rusticated base surmounted by dome and cross. Each
face has pediments with acroteria medallions and engaged Corinthian columns.
Four semi-circular stone drinking bowls, like stoups, 2 having bronze lions
head masks. Four oval relief panels. At one side is a stone animal drinking
trough. This was given to the town by Councillor John Ransom and bears the
inscription "Drink but waste not".
