The Old Cottage

C17, C18, early C19. A symmetrical front (north-west) of one storey and attic,
2 windows, with extensions at each end. Hipped thatch roof, with eaves raised above
the upper windows. Part of the timber frame survives within, but this has been clad
externally with header bond brickwork, with red rubbed brick arches and flush first floor
band, the south side extension being in Flemish bond with blue headers; at the rear
there is flint walling with brick dressings. Casements. Modern brick porch, with a
thatched roof.
